(EUGENE, Ore. ) - The 2014 Oregon volleyball schedule will feature 16 televised matches including two in front of a national audience on ESPNU. Both ESPNU matches will be played on the road against some of the Pac-12’s elite. For the first nationally-televised match of the year, Oregon will take on Stanford, Oct. 3, followed by a match against Washington, Nov. 7, in Seattle. Similar to 2013, the Ducks will take part in two tournaments during the nonconference portion of the season, first at home as part of the Oregon Invitational, hosting Ohio State, Central Arkansas and Illinois State August 29-30. From there, Oregon will go to Hawaii for its second and final tournament of the regular season, facing Saint John’s, Hawaii and New Mexico State, Sept. 4-6. Michigan State and Michigan will come to Matthew Knight Arena, Friday, Sept. 12-13. The Spartans ended the 2013 season with a ranking of No. 14 while Michigan was ranked during the majority of last season and was receiving votes in the final poll. After a match at Portland State Sept. 15, the Ducks will get one final tune up against Seattle (Sept. 23) before beginning the Pac-12 slate at home against Oregon State, Sept. 24. Colorado will be second conference match that week as it comes to town for a match on Saturday, Sept. 27. The Washington school will be the next pair of opponents to come to Eugene. The Ducks will square off with Washington State, Oct. 10 before facing Washington, Oct. 12. After a trip to Southern California Oregon will be back for a two-week home stand against Arizona (Oct. 22) and Arizona State (Oct. 24) followed by California for a Halloween match, Oct. 31 and Stanford (Nov. 2). The final home series of the season will be played against UCLA, Nov. 21 and USC, Nov. 23. The NCAA Tournament will begin with the first two rounds played Dec. 5-8. The regional sections will be played at Iowa, Louisville, Washington and Minnesota with the finals hosted in Oklahoma City Source: goducks.com
