Oregon Coast Plane Crash Victims Identified

Authorities are asking the local public and visitors not to touch any debris that may wash-up onshore.

(FLORENCE, Ore. ) - Authorities are still searching for a 15-year-old boy one day after he and his grandfather were in a Grumman American AA5, that crashed into the water about two miles north of Florence along the Oregon Coast.

The grandfather, identified by authorities as 69-year-old Richard Munger of Florence was pulled from the water Sunday by the U.S. Coast Guard near the Florence jetty.

The Coast Guard divers and other personnel are still searching for 15-year-old Benjamin Dressler of Washington state.

Authorities are asking the local public and visitors not to touch any debris that may wash-up onshore.

The crash occurred around 10:00 a.m. Sunday. The FAA is on the scene trying to determine the exact cause of the crash.
