Horrified: Not sure where you live? Check first, and if the waste water agencies in your region only partially treat sewage then go to city council and/or a county meeting, ask them why they're allowing their buddies at these districts to dump this 100% crapola instead of advanced treatment (tertiary)....If you live where there's a clear need for irrigation/drinking water (or it can be exported and sold for $$$) then reclaimed keeps aquatic environs cleaner PLUS provides that water delivery guarantee. The officials at these waste agencies like to hold mid-day, mid work week meetings when no one attends. Media seldom if ever go and write up anything----A gross topic, yes, but so is the idea of entire thirsty regions going dry. Down here, we survive by stealing water from open streams that need the H2O, from the Colorado River and Northern Cal ecosystems, from any of our neighbors who let us. LA was fully developed by deceit as CHINATOWN showed you. Water should limit, not encourage unbridled urbanized development. This is why our watersheds are toast, yet more units get built and instead of reuse of existing they just look around for someone else to grab water from in whatever means they deem fit. As a nation, we'll have completely contaminated most formerly pristine aquatic systems and be at each other's throats over fresh drinking water by 2025.

Sue the EPA out of existence and start fresh.  Save our oceans, allow our future generations a chance.

Horrifying! How did we let things spiral so far out of control? Have we lost all check and balance systems for the environment? And finally, what do we do?
