Jun-09-2013 17:26TweetFollow @OregonNews Tamils Face Total Genocide in their HomelandIntro by Visvanathan Sivan for Salem-News.comThe vandalization and desecration of the Trincomalee templeis the latest act from Sinhala Buddhist extremist elements intent on terrorising Tamils.
(MULLIVAIKAL, Sri Lanka TamilNet) - Genocide takes several forms. One is mass killing of people as was done in Mullivaikal May 2009. The second is demographic genocide, that is large scale colonisation of Tamil Homeland by Sinhalese migrants from the South. What you see to the right is cultural genocide, where the cultural identity of the Tamils are destroyed, It started with the burning of Jaffna Library in 1981 and it is still proceeding on until the very existence of the Tamils is extinguished. An unknown squad has vandalized 13 Hindu Terracotta sculptures on the entrance tower (Koapuram) being constructed at the Katpaka Vinyaakar temple in Trincomalee on Friday night, the administration of the temple told media after filing a complaint with the SL police on Saturday. In addition to the sculptures that have been smashed, a number of Terracotta sculptures were also found displaced, according to Mr A. Nadarajah, the secretary of the temple administration. The temple is situated within the limits of Trincomalee Town and Gravets divisional secretariat.
