There are some of us who do get erotic and sexual gratification out of not only the finished product, but also the procedure itself. As a Circumsexual (please, don't call us "circumfetishists"), I understand the sexual pleasure obtained through watching circumcisions, performing them, and having one done on yourself. The medical procedure performed on males of all ages should only be referred to hence forth as "Male Genital Mutilation" as this is the only valid way to refer to this barbaric procedure. As a victim of this procedure and a member of the few who've successfully restored a foreskin through non-surgical means, I'm still deeply saddened to know that the foreskin that was stolen from me during infancy can never be completely replaced. The new one I've grown does go a long way toward banishing the numbness from my glans that gradually overwhelmed my member by my mid-30s. A much better scenario would be if I and the millions of American men and boys, had never been mutilated in the first place. This procedure needs to be made criminally illegal as a crime against humanity and punishible by fines, imprisonment, and restitution to the victims, both past and present. There needs to be AT LEAST EQUAL outcry in the world press on the topic of Male Genital Mutilation and that the procedure has no place in this century regardless of race, creed, religion, or gender. Nobody else should have to spend years of their lives enduring the stretching of the shaft skin to regrow a foreskin as I have.

The US medical organizations (AAP in particular)must come out and say that male circumcision is harmful. It is harmful when it is done (MRSA and so many complications including about 120 US males babies dying each year) and it harms the male for life. Male circumcision is nerve damage -- a cutting off about 20000 fine touch and stretch sensing nerve endings and removing a source of pleasure from the male FOR LIFE. This is 2/3 of the total pleasure source amputated! This is nerves, blood vessels, protective covering and pleasure zones taken away from a human before the human can experience this. The dynamics and function and pleasure from sex and masturbation of the penis is harmed for good. Stop pretending this bad thing is good for a baby boy.

The AAP needs to lose the hypocrisy and join the rest of the first world in condemning infant circumcision. I wonder if Doctors' Palfrey and Alden have read the KNMG statement on circumcision? The credibility of the AAP on this issue is in the balance. They need to come down against infant circumcision or they will be seen as culturally biased and/or unreliable by the rest of the civilized world.
