Oregon State Police Investigate Death at Woodburn Interchange

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon State Police detectives will be looking to toxicology results from the Medical Examiner to confirm the cause of death of an adult male found in bushes Friday night on the east side of Interstate 5 in the Woodburn area.

Police say that preliminary investigation indicates the death may be drug-related. The man's name is withheld pending next of kin notification.

Friday at approxiately 10:50 PM, a transient found the 54-year old man in the bushes east of the southbound exit 271 off ramp. There were signs of drug use and no evidence of trauma or injury.

The Medical Examiner will have toxicology tests done to confirm the cause of death. Investigators have been unable to confirm if the man had a permanent residence.
