BE AWARE! Salem Streets Start to Close Tuesday Night for Salem Hoopla

All streets are expected to be reopened by Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The City of Salem Public Works Department wants you to Be Aware! that some city streets will begin closing Tuesday night through Sunday for the Oregon National Guard Salem Hoopla 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.

Beginning Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. through Sunday at 8:00 p.m., the following streets in and around the State Capitol area will be CLOSED for the Hoopla Basketball Tournament:

1. Court Street NE between 12th Street NE and Cottage Street NE

2. Waverly Street NE between Court Street NE and State Street

3. Winter Street NE between Court Street NE and Chemeketa Street NE

Additional streets will be CLOSED beginning Friday through Sunday:

1. State Street between Winter Street and 12th Street beginning at 2:00 p.m.

2. Cottage Street NE between Court Street and State Street beginning at 6:00 p.m.

All streets are expected to be reopened by Sunday at 8:00 p.m.

Drivers should avoid these areas or anticipate delays due to congestion.
