Vancouver Police Make Arrest in Drug Homicide

Police say Sandra Schmidt provided the drugs that caused Tonja Lynn's death.

(VANCOUVER, Wash. ) - Vancouver Police Detectives on Thursday arrested 51-year- old Sandra K. Schmidt for Controlled Substance Homicide.

Schmidt is believed to have caused the death of her roommate, 38-year-old Tonja Lynn, while they both were residing at 1021 W. 36th Street, in Vancouver.

Lynn was found deceased at the residence on May 6th.

The Medical Examiner ruled that Tonja Lynn died of Morphine Intoxication.

As part of the ongoing investigation, information surfaced suggesting that Sandra Schmidt provided the drugs that caused Tonja Lynn's death.

Sandra Schmidt was taken into custody without incident at her residence at 7415 NE 94th Avenue and was booked at the Clark County Jail for the charge of Controlled Substance Homicide.

She is being held without a bail.
