Body Found in Willamette River is Missing Stockton, California Man

The Salem Police Department is continuing the investigation.

(DAYTON, Ore. ) - A body found in the Willamette River on July 10th has been identified as a Stockton, California man.

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said that the remains have been identified as those of Donald Wayne Tomason, 34 from Stockton California.

“Tomason had been reported missing to Stockton California police in February.” Crabtree said.

“Stockton officials then notified the Salem Police Department that Tomason may have been in the Salem area”.

Drowning is believed to have been the cause of death, and the Salem Police Department is continuing the investigation.

Yamhill County Sheriff’s Deputies had recovered the body from the Willamette river near Dorsey Landing, south of Dayton.
