Jul-19-2012 03:10TweetFollow @OregonNews Anti-Muslim 'Prophet of Doom' Profits from Peddling FalsehoodPolitical Perspective by Tim King Salem-News.comCultural anti-Muslim 'e-hate' rears its ugly head Online to infect the ignorant and unsuspecting...
(SALEM) - This story began Thursday, when a friend sent a YouTube video to our newsroom about rape laws and specific cases in Pakistan. It offered chilling facts and figures; illustrating the problem in extremely critical terms. Not knowing who had produced it, I traced the source and unfortunately, was confronted with an alarmist, anti-Muslim Website just seething with hateful allegations. I immediately sensed the negativity of the site, but when I read the fiction that they were trying to pass off as factual information, I nearly lost my lunch. This group, Prophet of Doom: Islam's Terrorist Dogma in Mohammed's Own Words, indeed does profit from the fear they publicize, and I think it is fair to conclude that they only exist because of the dreadful political climate established by those right wing mouthpieces like Limbaugh and O'Reilly. Sometimes e-hate is a crappy smelly thing so infectious and wrong that it just needs to be washed away like a bad disease. Still, experience teaches us that when we encounter zones of bigotry and falsehood online, it is important to move past the initial revulsion and ask questions. We need to contact the operators and give them an opportunity to explain. If both parties remain rational and decent, a great deal can be accomplished. The potential of this type of dialog played out well a couple of weeks ago, as I engaged in a series of emails with one of the nation's top experts on terrorism; Stephen Emerson. Diametrically opposed on several issues, there was a great deal that we could agree upon. We must engage groups with opposing ideologies. In extreme cases like the one I reveal below, we must first ask why they are publishing false information designed to harm human relations. People deserve a chance to represent themselves. Let's face it, hating Muslims is big business in America. There are groups like this that exist literally to pour fuel on the flames of non-acceptance and racial disintegration. It is why the FCC will eventually become part of the world we new media journos exist in. Sadly, most Muslims in America today are trying to simply survive without racist treatment and constant bigotry from sources like Prophet of Doom; they don't tend to take groups like this to court, however perhaps they will now. 'Profit of Doom' is so dirty that you can practically smell their sweaty hate through your keyboard. They're foul and rude too, as expected. Perhaps my questions were terse, but I was unhappy after reading their diatribe and so-called expert information. My impression was that they are powered by a couple of former Muslims who are now profiteering from their inside knowledge; a handful of Zionist Jews, and surely a few 'Christians' who want to scare the hell out of people by filling them with information that their group has no business peddling. Then I realized that the site exists partly to sell a book. How much is this book full of false information geared to build animosity toward Muslims? How about eighty bucks, plus like twenty more to mail it or something like that. See my point? Robert O'Dowd and I recently co-authored a book about contaminated military bases and you can get it online for three bucks, and we had to charge that to use the service. People write for profit or they write for the sake of humanity and history. Craig Winn, the author of 'Prophet of Doom', states: "Islam rises and falls on Muhammad. He is the religion's sole prophet, Islam's solitary example, Allah's lone conduit." The most important missing fact in the whole world, that Americans vastly fail to understand, is that The Holy Qur'an totally recognizes the existence of both John the Baptist and Jesus Christ and the Muslims view Christ as a Prophet from God. They do not believe he was the son of God, but they do believe he is Messenger of God and a Prophet. This is super basic knowledge to anyone who knows anything about Islam. In fact, The Qur'an mentions Jesus twenty-five times, more often, by name, than Muhammad. So basically, in the very first paragraph promoting his book, Craig Winn shows us that one of two things are true:
Those who are not familiar need to understand that the Muslims follow the First Testament. This Website refers to Allah as 'their God' but it is not a different God, it is the same God and Islam, Judaism and Christianity have far, far more in common than the doom profiteers would have you understand. Perhaps most important, is the fact that the Muslim faith most closely corresponds with Christian teachings. Remember that the Jews think Christ was an impostor; a false prophet. As you will see in the email exchange below, they consider themselves to be experts in Islam and they are not. They claim to use accurate historical text, yet the whole platform appears as an attack on Muslims. Instead of representing religious value, this online group shows itself to be the total opposite. These difficult and nameless people with their hate Website operate like the Taliban, in that they pervert religion and make it the excuse for their inhumane actions, and trust me that I have been around Taliban and also the far flung western idiots who use religion and fear like devices in a torture chamber. They pimp it onto the Internet where their mechanisms of deceit and false teaching can latch onto unsuspecting people seeking real information, and land them not in a land of knowledge, but in this wicked pit of disinformation- all by design. Here is my attempt to reason with the operator of this Website: Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 4:26 PM Subject: Can you guys answer some questions for Salem-News.com? I received a video today from a friend about rape in Pakistan that traces back to your group, pretty chilling stuff. But then I kept looking at your site and my alarm level rose and rose. You claim, for example, that the Muslims have only one prophet, I am flabbergasted. You actually do not know that the Muslims consider Jesus Christ a prophet? We exist for the sake of truth at Salem-News.com and at this point, you appear to be running on pure propaganda and of course now we can't use the video about rape, even though it seems important, because it will lead people to your false information. So what gives? Do we need to do a big educational piece about the false information being peddled by your doomsday project? Do you care if you are factually accurate or are you some kind of Israeli shill poser group that only exists to spread lies and cause people to hate Muslims? Do you like Israeli apartheid and stand for their Jewish only roads and laws and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians who are rightful owners of land being stolen continually by 'settlers'? Do you know these settlements are illegal under international law? Are you aware of the fact that the dangerous Muslims are called Wahhabis and Salafists? Do you know that the dangerous Muslims are primarily with the nations that are U.S. allies like Saudi Arabia? I fear I know the answers and I am disappointed because there are so many things that need to be exposed such as the problems in Pakistan that you mentioned, but you can't operate a low brow slaughterhouse and make money off scaring people, that is wrong if you are not totally accurate with your writings. If we are forced to write about your group's statements, then anything anyone Googles about you will go to our links, if you don't think this is true then you are free to test the water. Nobody has the right to spread lies online about a culture that they know only enough about, to hate. Tim King Salem-News.com Online Global News Service Email: newsroom@salem-news.com

POD email@prophetofdoom.net 6:27 PM (4 hours ago) I know a million times more about Islam than you do - probably more than any American. And unlike you, I view nothing from the perspective of race. As for seeing what Islam does to a nation, I've been in most every significant country on this planet, and thus can compare based upon facts rather than illusions. One of the differences between me and you is that I study the evidence before I speak. I invested 10,000 hours reviewing the five oldest Islamic sources, put them together, and then used them to reorder the Qur'an chronologically. Islam has never been presented more rationally than it is in Prophet of Doom. Its findings are irrefutable. You spout thoughtless platitudes as if your opinions were true - as if they had merit. And yet you are absolutely clueless. Thinking yourself wise, you are both ignorant and irrational. To say that "Jesus Christ" was a Muslim prophet is to be completely unaware of how different Yahowsha' and Muhammad were. They were opposites. Allah and Yahowah have nothing in common. The Qur'an is the antithesis of the Towrah. To believe that opposites are the same is to be irrational, ignorant, or both. So, Tim, next time you criticize something, read the book first. That way you won't make such a complete fool of yourself. Tim King 8:47 PM (2 hours ago) You don't know who I am and you don't disclose who you are; you can read about me for days, I am an extremely well established human rights journalist and I don't buy one ounce of what you are doing, not an ounce. I can't even take a person seriously who doesn't use a name, that is funny. You know a million times more, what kind of a statement is that? A million? There is no disagreement in the world community about whether Christ was a Prophet in the Holy Qur'an, he was and that is it. You can say what you want, obviously... and you are a hate conveyor, you brand and insult and are unfair and I am hours into an article exposing your ridiculous mission. Oh and for the record, I have far more than ten thousand hours into this area, and it sickens me that you are on a hate mission, whoever you are. I suppose perhaps the writer of the book? I think your best ability so far is to cast insults and if you think that is impressive you should guess again. I wrote and asked you specific questions and you did not honor them. This is unfortunate and not how I handle inquiries, perhaps you will learn something from all of this, that is up to you. Obviously your level of conceit is so high that you might not be able to see past your own ego, it is only a concern because people are potentially reading your fiction construed as fact and that is shameful. You really don't know that Christ is a Prophet? I think you're pulling my leg; I think this is a Hasbara operation and you have been aware of that fact from the moment you started. If you don't know the first thing about a religion, then you can't know anything. And what is this of the Towrah, you sure like to change the spelling of words don't you? I have seen you misspell the name of The Holy Qu'ran on your Website, I guess whatever fits the occasion right? The Torah is a scary book, it establishes that Jews are the only people who matter and that we Goyam are here to serve you and nothing else, what a steaming crock that is. Israeli Zionists are land thieves and war criminals and they have an apartheid government with separate laws and separate roads for Jews and non-Jews. Judaism was never meant to be a national militant order based in ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, the indigenous people of The Holy Land. God never meant to have a Star of David on every bomb used to kill Arab children, anyone who supports this is a sick twisted animal and that's it. I am not for radical Islam, as I mentioned I dread the scary ones; the oppressive ones, the Wahhabi and Salafist fundamentalists, I hate the Taliban but then I see you just as I see them, a danger and a person who doesn't give a shit about the truth, only your power agenda. And in the modern age, Islam was not a threat; not until after WWII. The Soviets oppressed the Afghans, that crushing of their religious freedom along with western exploitation in Persia, led to the Islamic Revolution. Islamic violence all stems from the Nakba and western interference and the Israelis are at the center of it. They deserved a refuge after the horror of the Holocaust; though England and France should never have let Hitler rise to power and they failed to enforce the Treaty of Versailles. These moves preceded The Third Reich; everyone would stand with the Israelis like anyone else but they are like South Africa's past apartheid government, only on steroids. I am wasting my time, you are an agenda driven profiteer who doesn't know anything about the Muslim recognition of Christ and still managed to write a book; simply amateur and funny. Tim, I’m not sure if you accidently responded to the wrong comment or if that’s actually all you can do is grandstand and attack straw men. Yeah terrorists come in all shapes and sizes, especially when they’re indoctrinated from birth to either follow the orders and example of a terrorist false-prophet or face death and threats of eternal torment for so much as criticizing their religion. When the hell did I say I have an allegiance to the American government, military, or flag? You’re the one promoting your military background and yet that is what you wish upon those who actually bother to understand a dogma that plagues everything it touches with terrorism, tyranny, and poverty? Maybe YOU’RE the fucking terrorist. Great job helping spread the word about POD, that’s the only good that comes from these situations as well as consistently revealing how indoctrinated people lash out when confronted with evidence that conflicts with their worldviews. I don’t try to harm people because of their dogmas but I’ve freed many open-minded and reasonable people from them, something that doesn’t apply to bleeding-heart irrational “humanists.” Peace.

“Do we need to do a big educational piece about the false information being peddled by your doomsday project? … If we are forced to write about your group's statements, then anything anyone Googles about you will go to our links, if you don't think this is true then you are free to test the water.” As if this is the first guy to glance at POD’s homepage and blog a few paragraphs trying to label mountains of irrefutable evidence as “racism” by emotionally flailing at straw men. Nice “big educational piece” about how the mass-murderer rapist Muhammad bastardized the God and prophets of Scripture while plagiarizing non/canonical oral reports. Keep striving to defend and enable a terrorist dogma… right up until your infidel head is cut off in accordance with the “Holy Qur'an.”
Tim King: Hey I didn't ask them to put that site together, did I? I didn't ask for that hateful backward garbage to be posted. You wouldn't know what a terrorist is if you were looking one in the face. They come in all shapes and sizes and if you ask a lot of Iraqi people, they will tell you Americans are terrorists in the worst sense, killing a million and a half people for no reason at all, how dare you? How dare you act like such a vain and heartless ass in the face of such murder done under your flag? Hoe fucking dare you? I'd like to see all of you in the position your country has placed other people in, you are all a bunch of spiteful asses and I am so glad I did this piece and that I sent it out far and wide to agencies all over the US and the rest of the world, Even those that don't carry it are in the loop, and trust me that I am not happy about the indirect promotion of this garbage, all they are are exploiters of free speech and God how totally ignorant! One of the other defenders of this hatred told me that the guy has now turned on all religions, well guess what... we have plenty of negativity in this world, it goes for miles and miles and arrogant Americans have killed so often, showed remorse so seldom, and you have the gall to keep trying to harm people just because of their religion, it is you guys who need the work, not the Muslim people, the profits of doom are full of crap and so are their defenders, end of story.
Fred Snell July 21, 2012 12:16 pm (Pacific time)
I thank you, Mr. Bowen, for pointing out the obvious. I have read many of Craig Winns works, and not at one time do I recall him asking, either for a donation, or, charging the reader for his research. Thank you!
James Bowen July 21, 2012 11:28 am (Pacific time)
Mr. King,
Why do you not post my letter in it's entirety and let your readers judge for themselves rather or not you have been truthful and honest and rather or not you have shown journalistic integrity. What you have posted, and failed to address is not even half of what I wrote you.
Furthermore in your "retort" you again engaged in ad hominem attack, and failed to address any of the points made.
Tim King: Mr. Bowen, I interspersed my reactions to your letter, but I did not cut it off. I see from the email that you sent, that our system apparently cut it, possibly because of the link. At any rate, my intention was to carry your full remark. I will try to move the rest of it in from the email.
James Bowen July 21, 2012 9:37 am (Pacific time)
Mr. King,
Your article “Anti-Muslim 'Prophet of Doom' Profits from Peddling Falsehood” shows a glaring lack of journalistic integrity. It is clear from doing even the slightest bit of research that you not only misrepresent facts, but have also made them up.
Tim King: No way. I had serious questions, so I immediately wrote to the site, as shown play by play in this article's email interchanges, giving them every opportunity to avoid all of this ugliness. I simply wanted a few questions answered and I would have likely let it go if they had been even slightly cordial.
To start with you claim that you traced a YouTube video back to being produced by the Prophet of Doom website. I would love to know how you did this, other than perhaps a video referencing the book, or a YouTube poster who happens to link to the book. Anyone can link to any website on YouTube without having any affiliation with them at all. Did you ever once ask the author, webmaster or anyone related to Prophet of Doom whether or not they had produced the video in question?
Tim King: Again, the initial email contact was there for your team to work from. But the reply I received was, "I've got "news" for you. You are so ignorant, so irrational, so misinformed, there is no point in responding to you." So what you are suggesting falls short.
According to the exchange you posted in your article the answer is NO. I however did contact the author who stated that neither he nor anyone related to the website posted any videos on YouTube, and that they have no YouTube channel and do not know who has posted videos referencing or related to the website. The nature of putting something online for free is that it can then be reposted anywhere by anyone. I also did a search on YouTube and found a number of posters have posted portions, or the entirety of the Prophet of Doom book, and scores more where they were linked to either via the poster or in the comments left by viewers. So for you to say that you traced the production of the video back to Prophet of Doom is an outright lie, the truth may be that you traced the inspiration for the video back to Prophet of Doom, but that is a huge difference.
Tim King: That video was alarming probably pretty accurate, however I detected a possible tone of bigotry toward Muslims with that also, and so it was mandatory to contact the party behind it. Sure, if you say this group did not produce the video, I understand.
Second, you state, “This group, Prophet of Doom: Islam's Terrorist Dogma in Mohammed's Own Words, indeed does profit from the fear they publicize.” Again this is a lie. The fact is that the book is hosted online at the Prophet of Doom website in its entirety, in HTML, PDF and MP3 format, I don’t know how you missed it, it is the home page. Furthermore, this has been the case since it was first released. The fact is the author has not made a single penny from the book, or from the hours upon hours of radio and television appearances he has done. Had you taken the time to look into the author you would have found that he was a rather successful businessman who is now retired. Every single book he has written is available free online. So clearly his motive in writing and sharing is not profit. Furthermore, this is an ad hominem attack which is irrelevant to the truth or untruth of what is in the book, or on the website.
Tim King: I went to read the part about the book and was immediately greeted with the $80 price tag. As far as your description of this article as ad hominem, of course it is personal because Human Rights are personal to all of us if we are smart enough to realize it. Your hero's later reply was, "I know a million times more about Islam than you do" and forgive me, but that is not something a serious person writes. "A million times more", geez.
Moving on, you state, “There are groups like this that exist literally to pour fuel on the flames of non-acceptance and racial disintegration.” Having read Prophet of Doom cover to cover, at a time when I was an agnostic leaning atheist, I can state unequivocally that there is not a raciest word in it, at least not written by the author (Muhammad had plenty of raciest things to say). Denouncing Islam is not raciest, Islam is not a race, it is an ideology and a religion. So to call someone raciest for denouncing Islam would be the equivalent of calling them racist for denouncing Nazism. To call Nazism evil does not mean that you are calling Germans evil just because historically it was associated with Germans. This is a logical fallacy that many in the media and in public power make all too often. Labeling someone is a great way to avoid having to address what they say, but makes you look like a fool to anyone who thinks.
Tim King: Yeah bagging on Islam is racist to the core and we all know that. It creates resentment and danger for people. It is un-American to the core, or perhaps that doesn't matter to you guys anyway? You're looking for some religious end game and yet people are people and your writer friend is casting stones on people with his Website. I am not worried about looking like a fool to anyone outside of your mindset. I don't think you believe that either personally..
To say that Islam is an evil religion is not a racist statement, you may argue that it is an errant statement, but to say that it is a racist statement is pure ignorance of what racism is. The fact is there are people of most every race which follow Islam, there is no Islamic race. If I denounce Christianity I am not raciest, if denounce Catholicism, or any other religion I am not racist, and if I denounce Islam I am not a racist.
Tim King: I'll bet you are as white as a marshmallow and have not the slightest idea of what you are talking about. Angry white people with attitudes are really hard to reason with, all of you; but it if foolish to suggest that bagging on people for being Muslim isn't racist, you can say it all day and you won't change the fact that this is RACISM and bigotry to the hilt, no question about it.
Up next, you state, “My impression was that they are powered by a couple of former Muslims who are now profiteering from their inside knowledge; a handful of Zionist Jews, and surely a few 'Christians' who want to scare the hell out of people by filling them with information that their group has no business peddling.” While I understand this is just your impression, one would wonder why as a journalist seeking truth you would not take a moment or two to do the research and find out the truth before you rush to writing a review. Had you done so, you would have found there are only two people behind Prophet of Doom. The webmaster, who for safety reason wishes to remain anonymous, and the author, Craig Winn.
Tim King: That is ridiculous, I do this all day every day and when you get into the people who don't have the guts to even list their name,. you have entered the no credibility zone. Real men use their names or they don't bother trying to cause interracial divides. I reference the writer and the nameless Webmaster., there is little else to say about these hatemongers .
Seeing as Craig has written 15 books, all of which are available on Prophet of Doom and other websites for free, has done a daily radio show for the past few years, and numerous radio interviews over the last decade (a number of which are available on the website, free also), it would have been quite easy for you in a few hours to determine that he is neither a former Muslim, a Jew, or a Christian. He is in fact a former Christian, who now denounces it as he denounces all religions. So your assessment was wrong, once again. This is becoming routine with you.
Tim King: Few people if any have time for that kind of shenanigans, your hero needs to consider what positive application he may have on the world. Now you're telling me that he bags on Christians too? He denounces Zionism? How about just plain old Judaism I am against your friend, I think he is self-inflated.
His book YadaYahweh does to Christianity and Judaism what Prophet of Doom does to Islam. But again, you elected not to do any research before you wrote your article. For what it is worth you could also just as easily contacted the webmaster, as I did, and learned that he is a former Atheist, and also not a former Muslim, a Zionist, or a Christian.
Tim King: Millions of people have projects online, in print, etc. You can go until you are blie in the face, but profit of doom is a hatemonger site and it is insulting toward people and hopefully next time they hear from a reporter they will have a degree of decency instead of dickheadedness.
By way of Craig’s background some things you might find interesting, all of which are easy to discover if you had done a modicum of research before writing your story. After 9/11 he used contacts he had made while working in the business world to arrange a meeting in the Palestinian territories where he sat and at gunpoint interviewed members of Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, al ’Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, and other Islamic terrorist organizations.
Tim King: Hamas and Hez are not terrorist organizations, they are government agencies branded by Israel the way your friend Craig branded Muslims with his book. I respect them both. All of it is a power play for greed and control and it makes me sick. Zionist are racists and their intentions are wrong on every count. As far as al Qaeda, I know you guys are blowing steam now and it has a brown tint. There is no group called al Qaeda', that is a news anchor and politician's game and word. I talked to people all over Afghanistan about the dreaded group and nobody had any idea of what I was talking about. That operation was named al Qaeda because it was created by the CIA to arm the Mujahideen rebels battling the Soviet Union for control of Afghanistan. The terrorists are the ones who do the majority of the killing and destruction. Israel is a terror state far worse than any other.
It was the result of that interview which spurred him to invest the time researching Islam, and studying the five oldest Islamic sources (Ishaq’s Sirat Rasul Allah (The only book written on the topic within two hundred years of Muhammad’s life), the Quran, and the Hadith accounts of Al-Bukhari, al-Tabari, and Muslim). He then did something that few if any have ever done. He rearranged the Quran (a book which has no context and no chronology) chronologically and then placed it into the context of Muhammad’s life using the Islamic Hadith, particularly Ishaq’s Sira/Biography of Muhammad and Tabari’s Tarikh/History of Islam’s formation. At one thousand pages, it is meticulously documented and robustly comprehensive. And again, I remind you, he did this research as a service to Muslims and offered it to the world freely. His motive was and remains to make people aware of what Muhammad said in His Quran and Hadith so that they might understand Islam from the perspective of Muhammad’s words and deeds as they were recorded by the first Muslims.
Tim King: Well maybe you should start his fan club. Is this "million times more" man that we are talking about here or the other one?.
If you where to read the book, you would find that he does not condemn all Muslims, only the good one (those that adhere to what Muhammad taught). The fact is, most Muslims like most Christians and most Jews, know very little about what is written in their own scriptures. The first time I read through Prophet of Doom, I was working with and for a Muslim family. They were and are great people, and I am still close friends with them. In fact, while reading through Prophet of Doom, I borrowed their Quran as well as their copy of Ibn Ishaq’s Sirat Rasul Allah. My point being that condemning what the Quran teaches is not condemning all those who claim to be Muslims, only the ideology itself.
Next, you state: “Then I realized that the site exists partly to sell a book. How much is this book full of false information geared to build animosity toward Muslims? How about eighty bucks, plus like twenty more to mail it or something like that.”
Here you are either intentionally or unintentionally misrepresenting the facts. I have to question rather this was intentional or not because the only page on the site referencing selling the book doesn’t include the price until nearly the bottom. This means all that came before it, you either read and ignored or you didn’t read it at all, either way it is condemning of your journalistic integrity. The second sentence on the page written by the webmaster, and not the author, reads, “To further compensate me for my efforts, he has offered to let me sell the few boxes of Prophet of Doom that he had set aside for himself when the book was published.” So a few boxes of hardbacks, of a book which again is completely free in its entirety online, were being offered to those that were interested in supporting the webmaster, not the author.
Also as a side note to demonstrate once again that you are not doing your job as a journalist, had you read this presentation, you would have known that it is not $80 plus twenty more to mail it. The $80 covers the shipping in the US the additional charges where for outside the states, which cost significantly more to mail. So once again you use ad hominem attacks by misrepresenting facts. Now to the real meat, about two thirds of the way through the article you finally stop the ad hominem attacks and actually address what was written, albeit you never get past the introduction to the book on the website. You say, “Craig Winn, the author of 'Prophet of Doom', states:
Tim King: I will say this again, I had concerns, I wrote to the group so they could represent themselves, and they chose not to. I suggested they answer a few questions and their handing of this sadly negates any point you are trying to make because I tried to simply have a conversation and they refused. I have to do what I do, my job is to watch out for people as a writer.

What a complete waste of time to read this article from Tim King. Offers no evidence to the contrary except goes off on a mindless rant. Tim King you are an ignorant and arrogant buffon offering your opinion as fact. Read the book, read Prophet of Doom and THEN form an opinion. It's obvious you only skimed it.
Tim King: I'm sorry, you use the name 'bloodbath' and expect anyone to take you seriously? I am the opposite of ignorant friend, I'd never read a book like this, what a stupid to suggest; I could barely get past the first paragraphs on the Website. Some of us are busy doing things in the world and while I enjoy fiction, this isn't my pick.

"Maybe the writer will eventually expose things about the other religions" ~ TK Actually, he does. It is connected. Click on "Yada Yahweh". He writes more than 2,000 pages about "other" religions. That site also states he doesn't receive money and all his material is provided for free. I'm for freed of rights and don't like propaganda but I wonder if you actually read anything you critique. Inflaming/invoking emotions to gain readers? There are plenty of legitimate "islam bashers" out there on the internet that you can persuse very quickly to gain an accurate appraisal other than this one which clearly states his writing is based upon facts studied over a long period of time. You just lost your credit with many readers.
Tim King: Any readers that I 'lose' over my assessment of this pathetic hate can go screw themselves, I want not a thing to do with them. You are standing up for something foul and wrong, I don't give a shit how many books this writer has generated, even Adolph Hitler was able to write a book, big deal. You tell this guy he's a hateful speck on this earth and nobody worth anything is going to get past the stupid hatefulness of his actions.

I fully support your approach Tim. The basic problem is that there is a wide misunderstanding between "spirituality" and "religion". We should not forget that spirituality is universal and connects the human beings with Creator. Religions, on the other hand are faith traditions. If one examines spirituality in Judaism, Christianity and Islam we will see that it is the same. Religions represent the path through which we approach Spirituality. They differ because they have been established at different historic moments, places, social and cultural conditions .

Tim, Bravo (standing and cheering)! You are the FIRST journalist who has stood up to these cowardice bullies who have latched on to race or religion to hide behind their keyboards venting their passive-aggressive anger. Most do their "dirty work" anonymously in blogs, letters to editors, comments on news stories or web pages. The few that proudly admit their prejudice, racist agenda, or complete hatred towards others of different beliefs or colors, often paint themselves as victims. They are the first to report hate mail/email, make numerous reports to law enforcement (or claims of such reports), all the while claiming to be nothing more than "good Americans." You Tim, are a GREAT American! You aren't afraid to speak the truth, even though your position isn't politically correct in our social climate. I ask how many people have heard about the mass deportations of black Africans from Israel occurring daily? These are some people who lived their over 30 years an even converted to Judaism, being sent back to (mainly) Sudan. Israel claims it's because of the breakdown in Syria that has caused an "influx" of refugees, but that doesn't explain people who have called Israel their "home" for years. Not to mention, the primary employment available to these refugees is as servants and caretakers for their Jewish employers because they are paid meager, to say the least, wages. Those citizens are also employing them illegally. I've seen nothing in the Main Stream Media about this, but it's all over LinkTV, Mosaic News, and other International news programmes. Sounds like "ethnic cleansing" to me. They've been sending between 5-30 busses each day returning people who's homes, let alone, villages, no longer exist, or delivered to areas that they've never lived. Very sad to see people loaded onto vehicles not fit for a dog catcher with just a black garbage containing their most essential belongings. Good luck with the "Doom Group" - I guess we won't see the book on Amazon, hate to bring in the middle man on a $20+ book!
Tim King: Thanks so much

"Maybe the writer will eventually expose things about the other religions."
he does Tim... his most recent book, "An Introduction to God"
http://www.introtogod.org/
is condemning of "all" religions including Judaism and Christianity... (another thousand pages).
Tim... he is a good person and a good man. He really does care about people and his only motivation is to help people find truth. He does not make a dime off of his books... they are not even copyrighted. Your hit piece was a little misguided but again I promise you... if you read both books now, with an open mind... your opinion of the author, Islam and Yah will change.
Tim King: Good God, I am steeped and tried and true, that is why I am standing in judgement of this grotesque spewing of bad information. And I have to know, why would anyone want to buy a book after seeing this Website? The hate comes with cheese and pickles for eighty bucks, is that it? I gave you some credit in earlier posts, but I am not going to be convinced to believe in something that every possible red flag says not to. I am swimming in new books by our own team that need reviews, I have not gotten to those and they are factual books, not one man's version of something he hates, that is what I get from all of this.
eh steve July 19, 2012 8:14 pm (Pacific time)
Tim... You are correct. All "religion" is full of suck. Please hear me out... I know for a fact that you are emotionally misjudging "Prophet of Doom" as an ignorant hit piece on Muslims from an egghead racist who does not know what he is talking about.
You are wrong. I know the man who wrote the book and he is not a religious racist nor is he a political right wing asshole. If you read the book... the most damning passages are taken directly from the Koran and the Hadith's. He is not coming from an ignorant nor racist position, just full of hate for the sake of hate. He hates Islam because he understands it and sees that it is the worst of religions that kill the soul... and yet knows that all religions are deadly.
I promise you... if you actually read the book, all 1000 pages or so... your opinion of the author and Islam will change.
Tim King: Thank you for the additional clarity, I will let it stand at that. I appreciate your tone and what you are saying. Maybe the writer will eventually expose things about the other religions. Thanks again.
eh steve July 19, 2012 3:37 pm (Pacific time)
Tim... I did notice that a limited number of hard copies of the book were given to the webmaster along with permission to sell them to recoup some expenses for managing the site. The book is freely available to view online or to download printable .pdf files. I have read some of the book and all it does is expose Islam using its' own source material. You might want to actually read it, you might learn something.
Tim King: Steve, It all hinges on a word repeated over and over: that is 'expose'. You guys actually think you have this big juicy secret or something? As a news editor, I happen to know a very large number of Muslim people. I came to know them in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Iraq; but more than that I am associated with Muslim educators, activists and writers who are the most honest and clear people in the world. I have spent a great deal of time around people of this faith and many others and it is all the same stuff on a different day, people are for the most part very similar. and you guys... you want to portray then all in a terrible light through this selective interpretation that you refer to. Do you think the Bible is really not full of scandalous things that can be taken apart? The key word is 'fundamentalist' and this crackpot site we're talking about is also fundamentalist. They're looking for weak-minded impressionable people and I'm sure some of what they put out is accurate, but it is a big effort and only partly accurate at best and frankly I don't know how they are getting away with it. The article went out today to many other groups and it should help bring other critical minds to the table over this.
You know who my Muslim friends remind me of/ My Jewish friends, that is who. You see there is no one good religion, they are all good when used the right way, and with Christianity and Judaism at the top of the list, there are no exceptions to the Genocidal and illegal tendencies of man. The only possible benefit from the work this site publishes is to start a war and to empower Israel, and man I mean that is the most terrible government that has ever existed. The US is terrible also, Iraq was a terrible war and costly mistake in terms of lies, but Americans had a president pull the wool over their eyes, what is the Israeli excuse? They are the most militant and violent people on the face of this earth and their apartheid is evil! Their 'Jewish only roads'- separate laws for Jews and non-Jews, yeah that Israel is a real peach, and don't think for one second that this Website and book are not Zionist propaganda tools; that is their only reason for existence. They are hateful, not educational. Trust me that I can tear a book apart like you would not believe and if I want it to appear in a dark context, it will.
What matters is action, not association. I'm surprised that I even have to make this point. The point of this group is to misrepresent. You can read what you want Steve, most of us here at Salem-News.com are miles beyond this lot in terms of understanding. Thanks for your comment.

Tim you said you hate the Taliban, then i conclude that as much you claim to know, you have been duped by your own ignorance.i wonder what diabolical agenda you have?
Tim King: Not even a good question I have to say; I am against all forms of violent religious extremism. If I had to list them in order, the worst and first are the Israeli Zionists, followed by the Singhalese Buddhists in Sri Lanka, and then the Taliban. You guys toss out the word ignorance regularly but I don't think you can define it. Diabolical agenda, that is the stupidest thing I have heard this month, and you have plenty of competition. And for the record, you can use the comments to discuss, rather than assess and insult.

Why is it that every time I turn around I find the muslim/jihad "extremists" being funded by the CIA? Seriously, while we are losing our liberties because of alCIada, they are being financed to be rebels in Libya and Syria by the west. Then the west blames it on anti-government citizens of the country, then go in and bomb them for "humanitarian" reasons, then civil war starts and the countries are reduced to rubble for "humanitarian" reasons. Seriously, all this info is easy to find. Muslim/jihad do not scare me, we have plenty of guns in the U.S., there is someone else I am more afraid of. The ones who push GMO, vaccines, chemtrails, NDAA, drones in the U.S., police abuse, open borders, Monsanto, putting non-violent drug users in prison, etc etc. I heard the owner of worldnetdaily talking on a radio show today. He is putting down how muslims treat their women. Maybe he should look in the mirror also. In the U.S. women get molested getting on an airplane. ANyway, here are pictures of how Iran treats their women..People should see this, I am not a fan of Iran, but they are not as bad as the propaganda makes them seem: Iran has not started a war in 200 years, and their last bloody war was with Iraq being funded by the west. The west also gave hussein the chemical weapons...and "I" will now be labeled as a domestic terrorist because I share the truth even tho I could not hurt a fly. Ok, I could hurt a fly, but I try to get them out thru a door or window beforehand :-) anyway, here are the pics.

I dont have 10,000 hours of research (lol, 10,000 hours), but I know that muslim religion is no different than most other religions. There is good stuff, and there is stuff the leaders teach to control, there are different factions that branch out etc..Same with so called "christianity". I believe in Christ but I no longer call myself a christian. I could write all day about the atrocities the so called "christians" have been a part of. And we do remember that george bush was doing gods work? The bankers who brought this country to to its knees were doing Gods work also, their own words.
90% of churches take the 501c3 tax exemption which puts them under federal control. Pedophilia in the catholic religion, and the vatican is totally corrupt.
People who have a "religious" view, and put down other "religions" need to look in the mirror no matter what religion they are.
This doctordoom person, in my humble opinion, is a total idiot and using his influence for his own benefit.
Good job on the emails Mr. King.
Tim King: Wise words, thanks so much.
