Illinois NORML: 'Help make Illinois the next medical cannabis state'

(CHICAGO) - Illinois NORML expects Gov. Quinn to sign House Bill 1 into law soon but we still need supporters to call his office and let him know how many people support medical cannabis in Illinois. Please take a few moments to call his office at 217-782-0244 and ask that he sign the bill into law as soon as possible.  If you want to call everyday until he signs it please be polite.

We have been getting many calls about opening a dispensary or cultivation center once the bill becomes law and we are going to provide info on how to go about that process to our paid members.  Illinois NORML is a group of volunteer activists and we depend on donations to fund our efforts to change these laws. If you would like to become an Illinois NORML member all it takes is a $35 donation once a year.  Donations can be made via our website at http://www.illinoisnorml.org/ilnorml/donate or mailed to 1321 N. Another thing that we are encouraging supporters to do is to thank the sponsors of the medical cannabis legislation and if interested help with their re-election campaigns.  For a list of sponsors for HB 1 go to http://www.ilga.gov and look up HB 1.
