Keizer Man Arrested for Salem Target Armed Robbery

28-year-old Kraig James Fox is lodged in the Marion County Jail. More charges are expected in this case.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - An alert Salem Police Officer took into custody the man police say pulled a firearm on Target Store Security Officers after they confronted him following an armed robbery on Monday.

Marion County Sheriff's spokesman Sergeant Chris Baldridge says around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Salem officer Laura Seefeldt, spotted a male matching the description of the suspect who was involved in an armed robbery at Target on July 14th.

The male suspect, identified as 28-year-old Kraig James Fox of Keizer, was walking on D Street near the I-5 overpass. Fox was taken into custody, and was arrested on outstanding warrants for parole violation and is lodged in the Marion County Jail.

Once Fox has been interviewed by Marion County Sheriff's Office Detectives, it is expected he will face charges associated with the robbery. Those exact charges have not yet been determined by detectives, Baldridge said.

Wow... this incident is Target's fault - they clearly did not post the gun free zone properly. Or did not advertise it on the websites the man browses... It could also be the school system's fault - maybe he cannot read that well, and Target should ask their greeters to read the policy to every patron. This will definitely eliminate crime in Target.
