(SAN FRANCISCO) - If your primary residence was involved in a foreclosure process between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010, you may qualify for a free Independent Foreclosure Review (independentforeclosurereview.com/CheckEligibility.aspx?BankName=asc). All Requests for Review Forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than September 30, 2012. The free Independent Foreclosure Review will determine whether individual homeowners suffered financial injury and should receive compensation or other remedy because of errors or other problems during their home foreclosure process. The Independent Foreclosure Review is monitored by federal bank regulators, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, to ensure a fair and impartial process. If you believe you are eligible to participate in the program, you may complete and submit a Request for Review Form. It is important that you complete the form to the best of your ability; all information you provide can be useful. Beware of anyone who asks for a fee for any foreclosure review service or for completing The Request for Review form. You must have been a customer of one of the mortgage servicers listed below.
For help completing the form or to have questions answered, call 1-877-465-3138. Monday through Friday, 8 am - 10 pm ET Saturday, 8 am - 5 pm ET For answers to frequently asked questions and answers (independentforeclosurereview.com/Faqs.aspx#FAQ4)

Ralph: they tell people they are going to help only to hurt..Typical bankers. You live in a fantasy world. The banks told hundreds of thousands they would help, but you have to be behind on payments, then when they got behind on payments they took their house..This is aother scam. DOnt believe me now, just watch and see. The bankers need to be jailed. I wish I could live in your fantasy world, but I cant, I have kids and their future.
Editor: For the record, this individual only insults and tries to downplay charity. He's from the 'let's all just shoot ourselves and get it over with' mentality and I always fail to understand the reasoning for such glum and paranoid reasoning..
