(BORING, OR) - The driver in a single car fatal crash near Boring Wednesday afternoon, has been identified as 32-year old Young Wesley West, Jr., of Portland, Oregon. Sergeant Adam Phillips, with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Public Information Office, says the cause of death is listed as multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash.

Blood has been sent for testing and results will be available in several weeks.

Boring Fire personnel arrived at the scene of the serious crash Wednesday at about 1:12 p.m. and advised dispatchers and responding deputies that the single occupant of the car was dead. The black Lincoln Town Car was severely damaged during the crash, hampering the investigators efforts at extricating and identifying the driver.

Emergency crews were dispatched at about 1:07 p.m. after a resident in the 30300 block of SE Joette Drive, Boring, Oregon, called Clackamas 911 to report the serious one car crash. Adam Phillips, says the cause of the crash is unknown at this time, though witnesses report the car was going very fast. It is unknown if alcohol was involved or if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

The next of kin have been notified of his death.
