(GAZA, Palestine) - On the second day of the Israeli operation, "Protective Edge", at least 72 people have been killed and hundreds more injured by the bombing of their homes and communities.

Israeli occupation warplanes attacked a home in Al-Maghazi camp, killing a woman and 3 children, bringing up the death toll in Gaza to 40 people. An estimated 280 injuries were reported.

We were also attacked. The Israeli occupation hit our agency's "Media24" car with a rocket, killing the driver.

Journalists are often the target of forces against truth, and we are sorry to report that Hamid Shehab, part of the "Media24" family was killed just two hours after helping me film my latest report.

Israeli jets targeted the "Media24" car in Gaza City and hit him with a rocket, martyring Hamid Shehab.

We had his last Ifater together and then he made us some coffee. Hamid Shehab was with us all day and assisted in the preparation of reports, and then brought us together with the rest of the employees in the Agency to tackle breakfast, and minutes later brought us cups of coffee and we sang and joked. Now he is with the other martyrs in paradise.

The horrific evidence of what is happening cannot be overlooked. We will bring you more updates as we can.
