Death Toll Rises To Eight in Gujrat Camp Attack

The camp was set up a month ago to search for the body of an officer who drowned in the river.

(GUJRAT, Pakistan) - It is reported that the death toll in Pakistan's Gujrat military camp; the scene of an intense and deadly attack, has now risen to eight.

According to details, one of the military personnel at the camp who was severely injured in the attack, later succumbed to injuries in CMH Gujranwala.

Described as armed miscreants, the attackers struck the camp of security forces near River Chanab, killing six military personnel and a policeman on the spot while three others received bullet wounds.

The injured were all rushed to CMH Gujranwala where medical crews took care of those not suffering life-threatening wounds.one more military personnel succumbed to his injuries.

The camp was set up a month ago to search for the body of a Major, who drowned in the river.
