(BAGHDAD, Iraq) - A number of Iraqi citizens were released from the Jisr Diyala JSS, following a reconciliation ceremony, June 25th. The JSS are the patrol bases where U.S. soldiers, Iraqi police, and Iraqi army units operate from within the neighborhoods in Baghdad. U.S. officials say the ceremony, which is held once a month, is a chance for the former detainees to reunite with their families and celebrate returning to their villages. Eighteen men were detained after being found guilty of criminal acts in this instance. U.S. officials report that the reintegration process offers these citizens the chance to make amends for the mistakes of their past and start fresh. "I ask that when you begin to build your new life, establish it on the new Iraqi laws," said Salem Bedin, Jisr Diyala city council leader. The men were urged to help the fight against criminals in their area as they integrate back into their villages. "I ask that you join us in the Iraqi SF and help us continue our fight," said Mahmoud Jablawe, Tuwaitha North SoI leader. ----------------------------------------------------------- Photos and story courtesy: Joanna Fox. "Anon" et al: Then there's the "just kill 'em ALL! group, too, pressing for Iran-attack "to finish job started earlier", ostensibly in the Reagan-Bush I era. That way "WE" snatch-grab East-oil everywhere, open up fields nationalized 36 years ago in Iraq, take over "country floating on oil" in Iran --and thus "WE can rule the world !" "They" are NOT talking about you-and-me in that last bit.

"Anon" et al: When you call 911, be sure to use hide-name from behind-tree. That way medics can choose where to come much more easily than if you resort to civil expectation of ID-ing self properly. Same applies here; since we do not know where to send the medicine or the medics, we simply do what they will do: "Ignore the call" since the caller thinketh so little of what's asked that does not ID-self.

No doubt, it makes you really wonder if what we are doing in Iraq has any basis at all.

My heart is bleeding. They all go back to their old life and they will be responsible for killing our Soldiers.
