Marijuana: The Aphrodisiac

Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker" - Ogden Nash, 1971
Viva marijuana as an aphrodisiac!

(PORTLAND, OR) - This has been the motto of young men ever since, but now the situation has changed with the estimated 40 million or so users of marijuana. Just forget about Spanish Fly.

The garbage that marijuana users "just want to get high" is just that --- garbage. From my experience with about 5,000 medical marijuana patients, getting "high" is an adverse effect of marijuana use. I know this to be a fact because on two occasions, I accidentally and unwittingly ate two marijuana infused cookies.

The first time I ended up as if I had a three martini lunch. I could barely stand and the room was spinning around me. I did precariously drive home and vowed never to try that again.

Six weeks later, at a marijuana clinic, again I accidentally and unknowingly ate two icebox cookies which I knew couldn't possibly be "contaminated". I was wrong! I was drunk again! My eyes wouldn't focus, I couldn't stand without help, I had nausea and dry heaves and I had severe hallucinations all night long. I'm confessing this to let readers know that I have been there and done that. I did not make up this crap. I was totally "intoxicated" in the full sense of the word.

Getting back to what I am talking about, I have posted several articles about this, starting with Depression: Anti-Depressants and Male Sex Boobytraps Nov 22 2008 in Salem-News.com, in which I reported that the antidepressant PTSD drugs given to the Veterans were destroying their sex lives. The Veterans were given Viagra like drugs which usually did not help but the Veterans discovered that marijuana did work. I had many Veteran patients who found this out for themselves. I posted Marijuana as an Aphrodisiac on April 8 2013. It had a respectable Facebook response but my article about the same subject about antidepressants, that marijuana is the best therapy, April 22 2013, drew 283 Facebook recommends and several page of comments. This brings us to the present time.

It is known by most marijuana connoisseurs that marijuana is effective for about 60 various medical conditions, but marijuana has another unique aspect --- low doses produce a pleasant exhilarating effect, possibly followed by euphoria, but much higher doses cause severe sleepiness followed by almost a coma condition.

Most readers and commenters wrote that low doses of marijuana were indeed aphrodisiacs for both men and women, but that higher doses did the opposite.

I was reading Jack Herer's biography, written by one Bonnie King. He first felt that marijuana would not do anything for him. He soon found out differently and said, "I had the most incredible sex in my life." Jack Herer is almost a father or patron saint of the medical marijuana movement. If he said that it is an aphrodisiac, it must be so.

THANK YOU JACK FOR THIS SOUND ADVICE, VIVA MARIJUANA AS AN APHRODISIAC
