Pair Sought in Salem, Portland Fraud Investigation

Anyone with information as to the suspects whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement agency immediately.

Ashley Coleman and Brian Stift are wanted for questioning in numerous cases where counterfeit checks were passed

(SALEM) - The Salem Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in locating two subjects wanted for questioning regarding numerous Fraud incidents that occurred between Portland and Salem in November and December of 2006.

Ashley Coleman, age 20, and Brian Stift, age 25, are wanted for questioning in numerous cases where counterfeit checks were passed at businesses.

The incidents occurred primarily at Fred Meyer and Walmart stores in several jurisdictions and involved the passing of checks that were manufactured using the accounts of other parties.

It is believed that both Coleman and Stift are currently in the Portland area.

Both have warrants for their arrest on unrelated charges.
