(SALEM) - At about 7:45 AM Thursday morning, an inmate, 23-year old Abraham Ramirez-Curiel, walked a way from a Marion County Sheriff’s Office inmate work crew working at the Oregon State Fairgrounds. The crew supervisor found an inmate's shirt and coat near one of the exit gates from the Fairgrounds. Unless he shed more clothing, Curiel is believed to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, green work pants with the word “INMATE” down the leg, white long johns and possibly an orange stocking cap. He is described as a Hispanic Male, 5’6” tall, 150 lbs with very short black hair and brown eyes. He has a small scar on his upper lip left side and he is missing his right index finger. He is believed to be a transient with unknown local associations. He is apparently originally from somewhere in California and may be headed south. Curiel was serving a sentence on a drug related charge and was scheduled to be released on January 28th. He was moved to the Marion County Work Center on January 17th and went out with an inmate work crew for the first time this morning. Anyone with information on Ramirez-Curiel's whereabouts should call 9-1-1. Articles for January 17, 2007 | Articles for January 18, 2007 | Articles for January 19, 2007 | Quick Links

A drug charge is just another way to justify the bloated law enforcement hacks existence. Who are they to lock people up when most of them are beer alchoholics. I say, "Run Abraham, Run!"
