Symbols of Our Givens

The more is known of The Evangelical Movement, the more it resembles Rome’s quest for Ultimate Authority.

(PASO ROBLES, Calif.) - Understanding ourselves and others requires an appreciation of symbols that need to be defined if their meaning are to be known. Some definitions derive from sources that can cause confusion, especially as they relate to religions generally and to Christianity in particular.

Enlightening sources of information relating to Christianity are as near as a good Dictionary or Encyclopedia. Under BIBLE, for example, the Encyclopedia states that the Gospels were written between sixty and one-hundred-years after the advent - the arrival of something important or awaited - presumably of Jesus - and as many as three to five generations after the fact, enough reasonably to suggest that much, if not all, of what the Gospels say is hearsay or based on imagination.

The New Testament was written in Greek, lending credence to the theory the Church’s Corporate Structure was developed from Plato‘s writing of THE REPUBLIC, centuries earlier. Christianity discounted this contention to avoid the contamination of pagan thought. But in the 4th Century A.D., Saint Augustine admitted that pagan thoughts so similar to Catholic dogma must have been derived from God, and on that basis should be acceptable to the Church.

The hierarchy, rather than admit its philosophy was borrowed from Plato, sought to make him the recipient of the Hermetic Tradition it claimed to be of ancient Egyptian origin. In fact, just the opposite is true. Frances Yates, author of GIORDANO BRUNO AND THE HERMETIC TRADITION, in Chapters I and XXI, tells how Isaac Causabon, early in the 16th Century, determined the Tradition was a fraud, probably written in the second or third centuries A.D. John’s Gospel may have been a precursor to The Tradition - or visa versa - for The Tradition and John’s Gospel contain verbatim verbiage, very unlike anything found in the other three Gospels. It is logical to conclude, therefore, that The Tradition was written by Christians.

Excerpts from the Tradition [below] should be read keeping in mind the social and political implications of the Trinity as initially conceived. Capitalized words refer to Christianity’s Immortality, and lower case words to human existence and mortality:

“The elements of Nature were formed by the Will of God . . . who received into itself the Word. The Word being of God, unites with Nature to produce a double Nature in the offspring, a mortal body by nature, and an Immortal Nature via the essential man.

“This new oneness created Order via the Nous-Demiurge, the Word united with the Demiurge, being of the same substance, and the Demiurge conjointly with the Word, moves the seven governors on which the lower elemental world depends.” “Governors” refers to known heavenly bodies of the time - sun, moon and planets, and their heavenly perfection that Christianity presumed to emulate on earth, but which symbolically, Christianity claimed to control!

Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines Nous and Demiurge as follows:

Nous - "Mind: esp. the mind as rational; the reason; the highest intellect - God regarded as World Reason" [relates to the Christian Coterie and its Philosophy].

Demiurge - is a worker for the people; "A workman, esp. the maker of the world, The Creator - from demios - belonging to the people. In Platonic philosophy, the subordinate god who created the world" [relates to Jesus].

These definitions reflect coterie thinking when Christian was yet a cult within Judaism that first conceived of One God for All Nations. Cult members sought to elevate Jehovah, the God of the Jewish Nation, to the higher level of One God for All, but failed. So, a coterie of Christians, formed from the cult, developed a plan to supersede Jehovah. Immortality, according to them, was formed by the Will of a Superior God [the Coterie] that claimed for itself the role of Father, the Passive Voice of God - who art in Heaven - and projected its concept, via The Prophecy of Isaiah, onto the Word - Jesus the Son [of Mary] - who became the cult’s Active Voice. The Tradition continues [edited]:

The philosophy being of God unites with the Word, [Jesus as spokesperson] being of the same persuasion, to produce a double Nature in the offspring - a mortal body by nature, and an Immortal Nature via the "essential man." The Nous [the Coterie] unites with the Demiurge [Jesus] and the Demiurge conjointly with the Nous [symbolizes the Order of the Church] that preaches to the Holy Ghost [its members - via a priesthood] the meaning of its Philosophy and how to achieve the Good Life on which the lowest of the elemental world depends.

Christianity, then, is the symbolic co-mingling of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Coterie Philosophy is the power behind the Son [Jesus, the “essential man” who symbolically became “Christ”], and the Holy Ghost [the people] by submitting to the Order of the Church, constituted the Civilized Community to which everyone supposedly is subject, or is considered unworthy and reprobate [whose soul is believed to be damned].

God's decree, according to Calvin [of Protestant fame] is to reduce all the world to a single homogenous whole subject to the authority of the Church. And, "the means He had chosen for executing the decree was faith in Jesus Christ - symbol of the Christian Community - "which of His grace He reputed to the elect and refused to the reprobate." [defines “Pre-destination” implying either one is Christian or a soul lost to Hell]. The Hermetic Tradition puts it this way:

"Trismegistus - Trice Great - [model for Jesus] is now dismissed by Pimander - [the Passive Voice of God] - after having been invested with powers [knowledge] and instructed in the Nature of the All and Supreme Vision, who begins to preach to the people [the Jews] urging them to leave their errors and take part in Immortality [without which there is no life]. Unless you make yourself equal to God, you cannot understand God, for the like is not intelligible save to the like."

The justification by the Church for assuming the investment of God's Apostolic Authority derives from the fact the “essential man” [Jesus] dies, but only after he invests his disciples with the power and authority originally vested in Him. Only after he death of Peter, the Apostle, does the Coterie Finally Institute the Church by its Philosophy, founded on the symbolic Rock of St. Peter’s Apostolic Faith, and perpetuated by the mystery of the Eucharist, the Elevation of the Host, or Communion with Jesus in a symbolic recognition of his contribution to the establishment of Christianity as a full-blown-religion.

Christianity is resolved as a Corporate-Community that today, in a legal sense, has a life of its own that transcends the individual. Priests preach to the people "urging them to take part in Immortality" as members of Christ's Living Body and the Supreme Vision, that since the Renaissance is accentuated by the grandeur of Architecture in addition to Ceremony and its crafted Mystery. Basic concepts remain, but Rome’s Theocracy faltered in its quest for total dominance due to schism; first, from the Orthodox Wing of the Church in the 7th Century and, in the 18th Century, because it could not defeat the Protestant Movement caused by Catholic excesses.

Mike Huckabee of Arkansas is a Protestant Evangelist who ran for President and advocated changing the Constitution “to better reflect the will of the Living God.” Rev. Huckabee is being considered for the position of Head of the Republican National Committee around whom Evangelists can rally to assist him in the achievement of their outrageously dangerous goal. Huckabee seems a nice fellow, but either his vision is misguided, or he plays on our ignorance for his own benefit. He is a reflection of most Evangelist pretenders whose object is to create in the U.S. a Theocratic Government of Evangelical design which could destroy everything America’s Secular Democracy stands for.

The more is known of The Evangelical Movement, the more it resembles Rome’s quest for Ultimate Authority. America’s Constitutional Guarantees are under attack, as evidenced by their Disciple, Geo. W. Bush who, as Commander in Chief, diminished Human Rights in favor of the Evangelical cause he continues to embrace, in spite of the being humbled by the experience of Katrina when his faith in a Beneficent God was shaken.
