Two Sprague High Students Arrested After Fight

The two students were transported to the Marion County Juvenile Department on various charges.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - A 16-year-old male Sprague High School student received minor cuts and abrasions when he was slashed with a knife during a fight at Sprague High School on Tuesday.

Salem police said the student who was slashed with the knife had initiated a fight with another 16-year-old male student that stemmed from a previous conflict between the two of them. The other student had the knife in his jacket and slashed at the first student during the fight, causing the injuries. The incident occurred in the lower parking area of the school.

Both students were taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Juvenile Department.

The student who initiated the fight and was injured was charged with Assault in the Fourth Degree. The other student was charged with Assault in the Third Degree and Possession Of A Weapon In A Public Place.
