(VANCOUVER, Wash. ) - Army Spc. Jeremiah Johnson, a Prairie High School baseball star from Vancouver, Wash., died Friday in Germany 10 days after suffering critical injuries when a Humvee rolled over into a canal in Baghdad. Jeremiah was born August 18th, 1983, and died January 5th, 2007. "Bless his heart, we were with him to the end," said Johnson's mother, Elizabeth Johnson of Vancouver, in a telephone call from Germany. "At about 1:52 PM here, our time, Jeremiah passed away." The death came at 3:52 AM AST Friday. He was 23. Saturday, the Patriot Guard escorted the procession with the Bag Pipe leading the mass of friends and loved ones to the gravesite. Your son is a hero and shall never be forgotten. Please forgive that some feel a need to make this a political forum. It's not. The protestors do enough of that.

Words cannot express the deep sorrow we fell over the loss of your loved one.We recently lost our nephew Philip D Ford in Iraq on dec 10 2006.Your family will always be in our prayers and thank you for this beautiful young life.

Words seem so emtpy when you try to tell someone how full your heart feels. Your Hero fell with Honor, and was dedicated to serve a country full of people he didn't know. This Greatful Nation's sarrow goes out to the Family of a Brave man they will never know. Mom of 3 Marines
