(SALEM, Ore.) - At 1 BILLION dollar plus Oregonians will be pleased to know that Valley 17 is the exclusive TV station that televises the Powerball drawing LIVE, seen on antenna and cable throughout the Willamette Valley (find more information on channel #17 at www.kwvtsalem.com).

Every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 PM PT, Powerball numbers are drawn from two sets of numbers. Five white balls are drawn from one set of 69 numbered balls. One red power ball is drawn from a second set of 26 numbered balls.

Powerball jackpots start at $40 million and grow until someone wins. This drawing has grown, shockingly, to over a billion dollars.

The Oregon Lottery was created through the initiative petition process. In November 1984 voters approved an amendment to the Oregon Constitution requiring the establishment and operation of a state lottery. Since then, the Oregon Lottery has become a funding source for many Oregon programs.

Oregonians are encouraged to watch the Powerball drawing LIVE on antenna and cable throughout the Willamette Valley on channel #17, KWVT (Salem).
