(EUGENE, Oregon) - Mercantile Commercial Capital, LLC, based in Altamonte Springs, Florida, a suburb of Orlando, has selected Mike Cobarrubias as their first Oregon Correspondent through their Area Correspondent Exclusive (ACE) Program, covering the state of Oregon.

Mercantile ranks as a leading U.S. provider of commercial real estate financing for small business owners who want to acquire or construct their own facilities.

MCC has been honored by receipt of: the 2006 Banker of the Year Award by the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO); the 2006 Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Financial Services Champion of the Year Award for all of Florida and also for the entire twelve-state Southeast Region (District IV); the Orlando Business Journal’s "Best Places to Work" in 2007, 2006 and 2005; and its co-founder, president and CEO, Christopher Hurn, was named the Orlando Business Journal’s 2006 "Top Male – Forty Under Forty."

In 2007, MCC was named to the Inc. 500 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

In an effort to grow into local markets across the nation, Mercantile has appointed Cobarrubias to be the only commercial mortgage broker to represent them as a local presence in Oregon.

"I’m thrilled to bring Mercantile’s first-class operations here,” said Cobarrubias. "Our marketplace and small businesspeople haven’t previously had the focus of such an industry-recognized leader."

"We are very pleased to be working with Mike in this capacity," Hurn stated.

"Despite financing deals across the country for years from a distance, Mike is part of what now has become a carefully selected group of active, local Correspondents for us nationwide.

We expect significant commercial funding volume from his area due to the rapid regional growth," Hurn said.
