(Jefferson) - Jefferson Firefighters were called to 747 N. Sunrise at 8:39 last night where a tree fell on a house. A 60' tree snapped about 20' above ground due to a gust of wind. The tree went through the roof a single-wide mobile home living room. The single-wide mobile home owned by Raymond Winnie is not insured. Mr. Winnie was home at the time sitting on the couch just feet away from where the tree landed. There were no injuries. Firefighters assisted the homeowner by tarping the living room area to help prevent additional water damage from the heavy rains. American Red Cross has been in contact with Mr. Winnie to offer assistance.
