Defenceless or Indefensible?

(LONDON) - Israel, since its inception, has portrayed itself as the little, defenceless lamb surrounded by a sea of voracious wolves. The Arabs. Therefore it is the duty of the world to support it and protect it at all costs. Every aggression, every expansion and every theft of Arab land and resources it commits is justified under the banner of ‘self defence.’

This utter lie has been swallowed, hook, line and sinker, by the west, especially the United States of America and acted upon ruthlessly. No matter what Israel does Israel is justified because Israel has to defend itself. Israel is given the latest arms and technology. Israel is offered huge amounts of money. Israel is afforded blanket protection on the international stage and in international institutions and forums. Yet Israel is the ‘defenceless’ one. The Arabs are the aggressors.

Here we are in 2014, a year that the United Nations has designated as the Year Of Solidarity with The Palestinian People. It is a decision that has had little, if any mention in the Western media. Why not?

The vote was 110 in favour to 7 against with 56 abstentions. Amongst those against were Israel, obviously, plus the United States of America, Canada and Australia. Those three major Western countries did what they always do; sided with Israel. And when you know that the United States of America, the most powerful empire in the history of mankind, has the most prolific and influential media outlets in the world you get your answer.

The ‘defenceless’ Israel was envisioned from a promise by the then British Empire to establish a home for the Jews in Palestine. We all know the history, we all know the treachery and we all know the trickery that was used to create a home for the Jews in Palestine. At every stage of this ongoing saga the Jews portrayed themselves as the victims while furthering their goals and ambitions.

First they wanted a homeland. They got it.
Then they wanted a state. They got it.
Then they wanted more land. They got it.

And now they want the victims of their various dishonourable plans to recognize them as a state, exclusively for the Jews. They pretend to seek peace through negotiations while putting obstacle after obstacle in the way of any viable peace settlement. What they are actually doing is buying time to consolidate their grip on Palestine and make the achievement of a ‘token’ Palestinian state a virtual impossibility.

That is not all. They haven’t finished. The plan is to steal the entire land of Palestine, obviously with no Palestinians in it. And beyond.

The latest manifestation of this treachery and deception is the American brokered ‘peace negotiations’ that started last July. Mr. Kerry has been going and froing between Tel Aviv, Ramallah and Amman and at every trip he advances the Israeli demands and pressures the hapless Palestinians into yet more compromises and unfavourable conditions. Every time Mr. Kerry pays a visit Israel announces not only more new illegal settlements but also expansion of the already existing illegal settlements, plus the total Judaisation of Jerusalem. Yet, ‘honest’ Mr. Kerry continues to emphasise the importance of Israel’s ‘security’.

Still they want more.

Last Sunday the Israeli cabinet, with fore knowledge that Mr. Kerry would be with them in four days, approved a bill that calls for the annexation of the entire Jordan Valley. Because, you understand, it is vital for the ‘defence’ and ‘security’ of Israel.

Judging by past performances of the so-called honest brokers of the United States of America, Israel will get what it wants while still portraying itself as the defenceless and vulnerable country.

When you know that the Palestinians have no army, no air force and no navy to speak of how can we, the Palestinians, be seen as a military threat to Israel?

When you also know that Israel signed a peace treaty back in 1979 with Egypt, the most populous and powerful of Arab countries and another with Jordan in 1994 that threat seems even less likely.

As for Syria, Israel has been occupying the Golan Heights since 1967 and neither country has discharged a single bullet against each other since that time. There have been various air raids by the Israeli Air force over Syrian targets but resulting in no response whatsoever. Considering what Syria is going through now can you see any possible threat to Israel?

Then there are the rich Arab Gulf States and Saudi Arabia who have been dealing and collaborating with Israel for many years.

How then can Israel claim to be threatened by the Arabs from any direction?

Ah, I now get it. Israel is being threatened by Hamas in Gaza. Gaza, that has been besieged, bombed, throttled and starved since 2007 has the temerity to launch homemade fireworks that are threatening the security and safety of Israel. It is beyond ridiculous. It is obscene.

But there is Hezbollah to the north. Yes, Hezbollah fought and won a symbolic victory over the invading Israeli army in 2006. They were repulsing an Israeli invasion into their country, Lebanon. How can that be perceived as a threat?

If you are not convinced, ask yourselves these very simple questions:

• Who has the fifth most powerful army in the world?
  Israel
• Who has the most powerful empire known to man at its beck and call?
  Israel.
• Who has the most powerful and influential lobby around the world at its disposal?
  Israel.
• Who controls virtually every media outlet in the so-called ‘free world’?
  Zionist Jews.
• Who are in control of the finances of the world?
  Zionist Jews.
• Which is the only country in the world to erect an apartheid style separation wall dividing families, villages and farmland?
  Israel.
• Which country in the world has established apartheid settlements for Jews only?
  Israel Which country has established roads for the use of Jews only?
  Israel.
• Who is the only known nuclear power in the Middle East?
  Israel.

“If we go down everyone goes down”. As Moshe Dayan said, “Israel must be like a mad dog. Too dangerous to bother.” In view of the above is Israel defenceless?

Or is it indefensible?
