(TURNER ) - The Oregon State Police is reporting that Interstate 5 northbound lanes are backed-up near the Enchanted Forest following a wrong way driver involved in a head-on crash.

OSP says the accident between a passenger car and a commercial truck occurred at about 3:36 AM near milepost 247.

There is one confirmed fatality.

Traffic is getting by on the right hand northbound lane and shoulder.

No anticipated time for reopening northbound lanes -- southbound traffic will probably be slow through the area as well OSP said.

Hey Salem-News.com thanks for this information. I usually start with the SJ.com first thing in the AM for traffic, but now I will start here first. They didn't have this information at 6:00 a-m.
