(Salem) - The Cascade Surge have named Gary McIntosh as head coach for the 2006 season. McIntosh, the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington, compiled a 41-19 record while coaching at Christian Heritage College and was named NCCAA West Region Coach of the Year three seasons in a row. McIntosh, produced six NAIA All-Americans while at Heritage, and sent two of those top players to the Surge, Jason Aldous and Carlos Calderson. McIntosh, who holds coaching licenses from both US Soccer and the NSCAA replaces Martin Rennie who is back home in Scotland. McIntosh will officially begin his coaching duties at the upcoming tryouts scheduled for March 10th - 11th at McCulloch Stadium at Willamette University.
