KLCC Microbrew Festival This Month

(EUGENE, Ore.) - The KLCC Microbrew Festival returns to Eugene this year featuring 50 breweries from across Oregon, the United States, and the world. The festival runs from February 12 & 13, 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday nights, at the Lane Events Center Exhibit Hall.

Admission is 12 dollars, and beer tasters are one dollar. All proceeds go to support KLCC, the public radio station serving Southern and Western Oregon.

KLCC is Oregon’s largest public radio broadcaster. It serves the valley surrounding Eugene, and also has repeaters in Bend, and on the coast in Florence, Roseburg, Reedsport, and Newport. KLCC has been on the air since 1967.

Oregon breweries featured at the festival include majors, such as Widmer, Deschutes, and Pyramid, as well as smaller breweries such as Silver Moon (Bend), Pelican (Pacific City), and Ninkasi (Eugene).

Other States with brewers represented include Washington, California, Idaho, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Louisiana. International participants come from Germany, Belgium, and England.
