(PORTLAND, OR) - First Sergeant Cory Remberg is the best or worst example of America's betrayal of our best troops in our questionable wars. When I saw this brutally battered soldier at the President's State of the Union speech, I could not help but weep. There for the grace of God go I. 300,000 Combat Infantry were killed in my WWII. I have medically taken care of about 1,000 military PTSD victims and successfully, I might add but none so bad as this. I hear that Sgt. Remberg endured ten deployments, it really raised my rage to the boiling point --- ten deployments --- that is grossly outrageous. It does appear that our Army Rangers, Navy SEAL's, Marine Force Recon, and others of the same highest quality have been squandered on many questionable missions. Maybe they haven't heard the old Army proverb: "If anything can go wrong it will". I was in the Army Infantry in an elite group --- Battalion Scouts. We were the scouts, point men and forward observers. The regular infantrymen of the battalion were jealous of us because we were separate from them, but in my own group of seven, we lost four. One by accident, one by illness, and two by capture. This is more than a 50% loss. Very few regular Infantry groups had such casualties in such a short time. In WWII, after D-Day, many Infantry companies went through 200% replacements of casualties, but that was in 11 months. Several units had 300% replacements. That is where the 300,000 dead Combat Infantrymen comes from. At the present time, there are about 40,000 Combat Infantry Veterans who are in a similar state to Sgt. Remberg with his massive injuries They require and deserve anything they need and want. By the way, for these 40,000 and others, the costs will be at least one trillion dollars. We owe it to them. The pictures and stories of Sgt. Cory Remberg, at the President's State of the Union speech, demand looking at. He will never recover from from the IED roadside bomb which put him in this terrible state. THERE ARE ABOUT ONE MILLION PTSD VETERANS FROM OUR CURRENT AND PAST WARS
