Arrest Made in Bank Explosion that Killed Two Police Officers

(WOODBURN, Ore.) - A suspect wanted in connection with a deadly bomb blast Friday that killed two Oregon police officers and seriously injured a third, was arrested tonight. The incident in Woodburn, Oregon Friday also injured a bank employee.

Marion County Sheriff Russ Isham says the arrest was made Sunday evening.

Specifics about the arrest will not be made available immediately Isham said, "Due to the need to protect the integrity of the investigation and the safety of officers continuing to investigate this crime, the Marion County District Attorney's Office has directed the suspect's name, investigative and arrest details withheld at this time."

The arrest happened Sunday evening. A source tells Salem-News.com that the person arrested was taken into custody by a SWAT Team in the Salem area.

The exact arrest location is not being released at this time. The District Attorney's Office expects the say the investigation will allow the release of the suspect's name, age and charges by late Monday afternoon.

"The arrest was the result of an intensive round-the-clock investigation by an interagency task force comprised of federal, state, county, and city public safety agencies," Isham said.

"I'm really proud of those who tirelessly worked to get us to this point and am humbled by the community's support. We know there is still a lot of hard work ahead of us, but this development will help bring relief to the local community and the officer's families."

* Woodburn Police Department

* Mt. Angel Police Department * Gervais Police Department

* Aurora Police Department

* Salem Police Department

* Clackamas County Sheriff's Office

* Keizer Police Department

* Oregon City Police Department

* Stayton Police Department

* Portland Police Bureau

* Polk County Sheriff's Office

* Immigration and Customs Enforcement

How can a person or persons go into a store in Bend OR. and get bomb making stuff ,and the guy who sold it not call the police before this......thy run your name to buy guns that take a day to do a ck! cell phones are 1 thing but bomb stuff......maybe if thy had the 2 cops would still be here today........sad or is it the $$$$$$$$$ for the reward!to late now.......to cops are dead!
