A shooter opened fire inside the Clackamas Town Center in Oregon. TV station KATU writes that dozens of shots were fired in the food court around 3:50 p.m.

OregonLive reports that two people are dead, and that the shooter used an AR-15 rifle, the civilian version if the military M-16.

Clackamas Town Center is located at 12000 SE 82nd Avenue, Happy Valley, Oregon.

An initial news release from the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office states, "CCSO responding to Clackamas Town Center on active shooting call." Now we know that the shooter is no longer active.

KATU reporter Anna Canzano said her husband, Oregonian sports columnist John Canzano, was in pulling up to the mall when the shooting happened. He said people reported hearing around 60 shots from the food court.

Canzano reported seeing people at the mall crying and distraught as police officers swarmed the mall.

The shooter at this point, has not been identified.

KGW reported intially, that three people were hurt, and that the 'gunman' is on the loose.

Three people were hit, according to American Medical Response after ten to 15 shots were fired by a person in a hockey mask, AMR said.

“There were just cops everywhere and sirens and ambulances coming in. I hope everyone is okay,” said a shopper named Isabel, who fled after the shooting. “It’s so close to a holiday. It’s terrible.”

The mall was locked down, according to an employee at Nordstrom. A witness told KGW she heard several gunshots near there, before people ran out of the mall.

This is what will make responsible gun owners lose their firearms rights. Idiots going on rampages.
