UPDATE Oregon De-activates AMBER Alert for Kennewick, Washington Abducted Child‏

Washington State first issued the AMBER Alert on December 5th at approximately 1:30 p.m.

(KENNEWICK WA) - Oregon is ending its participation in the AMBER ALERT for the child abducted from Kennewick, Washington. Authorities believe the parties are no longer in Oregon. For further information in regards to this incident contact the Kennewick Police Department at (509) 528-9131.

At the request of Kennewick, Washington Police Department, an AMBER Alert has been activated in Oregon for a 14-year old female last seen December 4, 2013, getting into a vehicle and believed to be in the company of a 19-year old male. Kennewick Police Department believes the female was abducted, is endangered and may be enroute to Mexico.

According to Kennewick Police Department, on December 5, 2013, an AMBER Alert was activated in Washington State for a child who was last seen December 4th at 11:15 a.m. as she left school for lunch and got into her boyfriend's forest green Ford Escape sport utility vehicle with a temporary license tag in the window.

The female, Elizabeth Romero, age 14, did not return to school and her mother contacted their police department later that afternoon to file a report.

On December 5th, the girl's mother received a text message from an unknown phone number from a person identifying herself as Elizabeth stating she was headed to Mexico with her boyfriend.

The mother asked the person on the phone to send a current photo of her but that was ignored.

Washington State issued an AMBER Alert on December 5th at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Elizabeth Romero is described as a Hispanic female, 5'3", 130 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white top and dark pants, and had a backpack and pink purse.

The suspect is identified as Edwardo Flores Rolases, age 19. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5'9", 225 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

Kennewick Police Department advises Rosales is wanted for Kidnapping and an arrest warrant was issued.
