U.S. East Coast Rocks in a Whole New Way....

The USGS estimates several million earthquakes occur in the world each year. Many go undetected because they hit remote areas.

(SALEM, Ore.) - How would you like to be in an east coast high rise office when everything begins trembling, shaking... that is exactly what happened Tuesday when the east coast was struck by an earthquake that was centered near Mineral.

Millions felt the quake though there were only a handful of reports involving serious injuries. Same for property damage; this won't be a big financial hit, however it is a humbling reminder that as we continually build new potentially deadly nuclear power facilities, we continue to raise the odds.

Of course who needs to tell the story of Fukushima now, people already know. However they may not all realize that Japan has essentially turned its back on those residents, refusing to help them resettle out of the contaminated, radioactive areas. We're covered it at length, it is not a pretty story.

Jack Nounan sent the following information to Salem-News.com today, which shows us how frequently these 'unusual' events actually take place on this planet.
