Albany Police Officer Fires Weapon in Wal-Mart Parking Lot

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - The Linn County Sheriff's Office and the Linn County District Attorney's Office are investigating an officer involved shooting in the parking lot of an Albany, Oregon Wal-Mart.
Albany police say Saturday night just before midnight, two officers contacted an occupant of a vehicle in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart store located at 1330 SE Goldfish Farm Road. During the course of their contact with the occupant, one of the officers fired their duty weapon.
No one was injured during this incident. The officer who fired their weapon is identified as Felicia Sloan who has been with the Albany Police Department for 8 months.
Officer Sloan was placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
