Two Lightning Fires Strike Overnight, NWS Issues Red Flag Warning

The National Weather Service has issued several Red Flag Warnings throughout Oregon Monday night for possible abundant lightning strikes.

(LEBANON, Ore. ) - The Lebanon Fire Department responded to a lightning caused grass fire at 9:18 p.m. Sunday night at 32843 Sand Ridge Road.

While on the way to the fire, one of the engines discovered a newly ignited fire at 36159 Airport Road in Lebanon.

A total of 20 fire personnel were used to fight both fires, which were about a quarter acre in size.

No injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service has issued several Red Flag Warnings throughout Oregon Monday night for possible abundant lightning strikes.
