(SALEM, Ore. ) - Marion County Fire District #1 Firefighters and Paramedics were reunited on Thursday with a near drowning victim. Three years ago MCFD #1 responded to a reported drowning incident on Cordon road, when they arrived they found a toddler that had just been pulled from a swimming pool by her grandmother. Paramedic's performed life saving measures and transported the little girl to Salem Hospital. On social media, the victim's mother reached out to the live saving members of MCFD #1 to say thank you. During their visit they brought home made jam as a token of thanks. Firefighters and the family exchanged stories from the event and discussed the little girls complete recovery. The family states that now 4-year-old Lillian loves to swim, enjoys being around the water and has dreams of being on a swim team. Marion County Fire District #1 would like to remind the public to always watch children in or near the water, wear life jackets and always place fencing around pools and spas.
