(SALEM, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police are continuing their investigation into Monday afternoon's three vehicle traffic crash that resulted in serious injury to one person along Enchanted Way SE near the entrance to the Enchanted Forest theme park in Turner. The injured driver, 50-year-old Gerald R. Luttrell, from SE Salem, is in critical condition. Oregon State Police spokesman Lt. Gregg Hastings says alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor for the crash. On Monday at approximately 3:35 p.m., a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero sport utility vehicle driven by Luttrell was traveling southbound from Enchanted Way SE. The Mitsubishi began to turn left toward an entrance to an RV park when it pulled into the path of a northbound 1994 Toyota pickup. Both vehicles collided resulting the Mitsubishi rolling onto its top. A third vehicle, a 2013 Ford Explorer, was stopped on the road leading to/from the RV park and was also involved in the collision. No other people were reported injured in the crash. OSP troopers from the Salem Area Command office are continuing the investigation. OSP was assisted at the scene by Marion County Sheriff's Office, Turner Fire District, Jefferson Fire District, and ODOT. Source: Oregon State Police
