Salem Man Seriously Injured in Crash Near Enchanted Forest Theme Park

No one else was injured in the crash according to Oregon State Police.

(TURNER, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police are continuing the investigation into Monday afternoon's three-vehicle traffic crash that resulted in serious injury to one person along Enchanted Way SE near the entrance to the Enchanted Forest theme park in Turner, Ore.

Oregon State Police spokesman Lt. Gregg Hastings says at approximately 3:35 p.m., a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero sport utility vehicle driven by a 50-year old Salem man was traveling southbound from Enchanted Way SE.

The Mitsubishi began to turn left toward an entrance to an RV park when it pulled into the path of a northbound 1994 Toyota pickup. Both vehicles collided resulting the Mitsubishi rolling onto its top. A third vehicle, a 2013 Ford Explorer, was stopped on the road leading to/from the RV park and was also involved in the collision.

The Mitsubishi's driver was seriously injured and transported by LifeFlight to Salem Hospital.

No one else was injured in the crash.

OSP troopers from the Salem Area Command office are continuing the investigation.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Marion County Sheriff's Office, Turner Fire District, Jefferson Fire District, and ODOT.
