Salem Teen Killed in Crash Where Car Ended Up in Molalla River

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tells Salem-News.com that a Salem teen was one of the people killed in a traffic crash where the vehicle they were in went off the road, went down a steep 100 foot embankment and ended up in the Molalla River.

19-year-old Marina Toran of Salem was a passenger in the vehicle, and 19-year-old Alexandra Alexandrova Samoilov of Canby was the driver, who was also killed in the crash.

The three rear passengers were transported to the hospital and there conditions are unknown at this time.

21-year-old Feudosii T, Semerikov from Gervais, 22-year-old Dennis Frolov form Atmor Alberta Canada, and 20-year-old Antip Alagoz from Plamondon Alberta Canada, where the three rear passengers, and were transported to the area hospitals. There conditions are unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is still investigating a single vehicle crash near Molalla, Oregon that killed two people, and sent three others to the hospital.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Deputy Ben Frazier says deputies were called out to the crash just after 8:00 p.m. on S Molalla Forest Road and they found that a passenger vehicle had gone off the road, went down a steep 100 foot embankment and ended up in the Molalla River. Two of the occupants, the driver and a passenger, were killed as a result of the crash, and the three other passengers were injured.

The cause of the deaths and extent of the passengers' injuries is unknown at this time. However, two of the passengers were transported to Portland area hospitals by LifeFlight, and the third passenger was transported to an area hospital by ambulance, Frazier said.

As part of the investigation, deputies learned at least one passerby rendered aid to the injured passengers at the crash scene until deputies arrived. When Deputies arrived on scene, Frazier says two of them climbed down the embankment, and rendered aid themselves until the injured passengers were safely pulled up the embankment by rescue personnel.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending family notifications.
