Pair Arrested for Allegedly Raping Teen Girl

Both men are being held in the Polk County Jail.

(INDEPENDENCE, Ore. ) - Two men have been arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl.

Independence police say they received a call on what was believed to be a fight at 2:14 AM on Monday in the 800 block of N. Main St.

When officers arrived the found the victim, who told them that she had been forcibly raped.

Police later arrested 19-year-old Victor Hugo Garcia-Chavez, of Independence, and 22-year-old Raul Chavez-Garcia, of Monmouth.

Garcia-Chavez was charged with one count of First Degree Rape, while Chavez-Garcia was charged with First Degree Attempted Rape.

Both men are being held in the Polk County Jail.
