Aug-01-2006 11:22TweetFollow @OregonNews Pentagon: U.S. Troop Levels in Iraq Could Rise to Over 135,000 by Years EndSalem-News.com Military ReportThe move means the extended deployment of the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team. They will operate in Iraq up to 120 additional days.
(WASHINGTON D.C.) - In an effort to quell violence in Baghdad, the Pentagon said Friday that U.S. troop levels in Iraq could rise to 135,000, and hinted that number could be maintained for much of the 2007. Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman says that recent increases, including the delay of the scheduled return of a Alaska-based brigade, could push the number of total U.S. troops to 135,000 in the coming weeks. As of Friday, there are 16 U.S. combat brigades with 132,000 troops in Iraq, compared to 14 combat brigades several months ago, and the troop levels will further increase by roughly 3,000 in the coming weeks, Whitman said. Earlier this year, there were talks about a possible draw down of U.S. troop levels in Iraq within this year. But Pentagon's recent decisions signaled that any decrease in the coming months is highly unlikely. The Department of Defense announced Thursday additional major units scheduled to deploy as part of the next Operation Iraqi Freedom rotation. The announcement involves four Army brigades and two Marine Regimental Combat Teams consisting of approximately 25,000 service members. The scheduled rotation for the forces will begin in late-2006. The units announced include: 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas Regimental Combat Team 2, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Regimental Combat Team 6, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Stewart, Georgia has been placed in a prepare-to-deploy status for possible deployment later this year. Also, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has approved a request by the Commander of Multi-National Forces-Iraq (MNF-I) to extend the deployment of the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team operating in Iraq for up to 120 additional days. The plans were drawn up long ago before 2000 to keep troops in the middle east so that we can hover for the final push for control of the remaining fossil fuels of the world. This was laid out decades ago. Anything for you Exxon Mobil. Can I get you a cup of coffee too? Big Oil and Global Bankers including the Federal Reserve (a privately owned corporation is sold to the public as an agency of the Federal government. It is neither Federal and there is no reserve.) Why do you think that the Federal Reserve is always asked questions by our Senators, and so politely. The Federal Reserve is the Corporation that owns the United States. They are superior to the U.S. government. They are the boss man. The lender (Federal Reserve Bank) is always superior in power to the borrower (United States government.) Woodrow Wilson was so sorry that he sold the United States to the international bankers. Death bed regrets do not change things Mr. President Wilson. Where are you? Are you in heaven or in hell?

The photo-op of two troops with an Iraqi boy is to create a false impression. If you think the bloodshed in Lebanon is bad, it is 100 times worse in Iraq. Have you noticed that over the years very little of the horrible bloodshed has been shown on television. That is why I no longer pay for television. I will not get accurate information on world events. The internet and sites like Salem-News.com are the type of areas to get real information, not multinational and government propaganda. I speak to many people from the middle east and most of them will tell you that you would have to watch Al Jazeera television to get real pictures of the terrible suffering in Iraq. This poor country makes Lebanon look like a fist fight. Anyone who knows media, knows that you have to work for accurate information as you do on the internet by going to noncensored independant sites. By clicking a remote you are being made a fool of. Television is the lazy mans way of getting inaccurate information. What makes you think that any beholden media group is going to give you the truth on a silver platter? Do you think that they love you? Television is the worst sort of manipulation of public opinion by multinationals and the U.S. government that you can imagine. Get rid of those cable bills and just use the internet. You will go into withdrawl for a while but I do not have television and can well afford it. I do not want 20 minutes of commercials per hour plus inaccurate and manipulating information pumped into my home and have to pay for it on top of it. If you are old enough to remember, you went out and bought a television and you were done. Until the early eighties very few people had cable. At that time there were no commercials. But do you see how it works? They marketed cable as being commercial free and that is one of the things that you paid for.....no commercial interruption. Now time the commercials the next time you watch television and you will see that they should send you a check every month for watching their garbage. Getting back to Iraq, we are there for one reason only....oil! Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and if you do not know that by now you should watch the documentary Loose Change on the internet. I have a solution to the never ending suffering in the middle east. Since Americans are so big on letting other people bear the discomfort of change, we could take the over 200 billion dollars a year that we give to Israel and tell every Israeli that they can have the state of Florida. Boca Raton can be the capital. Then tell all the non-Jewish Americans that they have two years to leave. Give the land back to the Palestinians that was taken from them after WW2 and there will be no more conflict or bloodshed. Does this sound crazy? Maybe to some Americans because they have never known the hardships that the United States has forced on the rest of the world. Israel was created by the anti-semitic hypocrites that should have told all European Jews that they have free passage to the U.S., U.K, France and any of the countries of the allied nations. Those that wanted their dream of a Jewish state should have been told tough luck. We are your protectors and you come and live with us. One of the reasons that this did not happen is that then anti-Semitism in the United States was so extreme in the 1940's that hotels in Florida were marked Jewish or non- Jewish. This is common knowlege and is well documented. Israel was created because the U.S., U.K, France and other countries did not want more Jews here because of predjudice. Do you see what happens because of the sins of our forefathers?
