Friend O: Reads better in original... but I do decipher your grist and Glen's, too.

What is this generation going to do for that kind of mental jukebox? Music, movies, books are all maybe a little too easy to come by. They don't have to relive a movie scene in their memories and imaginations. They don't enlarge or subtly modify to create meaning where none might be intended. They just play it again. My buddies and I would watch a movie and talk about our favorite scenes, but not see the movie again for years thereafter. We found we remembered things that were never in the movie. There's something to be said for staying a little hungry.

I meant to say "cerebral", Damn!, I hope it doesn't muddy up the context of my original comment.

It's like Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" cruisin' down route 66. The surfers would say.,"bitchin' man!,just bitchin!"
