David Foster. Do you know that you can use Marijuana and not get higher than you would using other drugs in the market like Nyquil? You didn't? Well then you don't know enough about Marijuana. Do you even know what the medical benefits of Marijuana are? What you are ultimately saying is that people who have the disease can live without medication!!!! Please go to someone who as MS and tell them hey you can live without your Meds pot smokers do it and then take their medication and flush it down the toilt. You wouldn't do that? Well you are doing that to people who use Marijuana as their medication.

On the most basic level, David, I have to admit that many, if not most people who support the use of cannabis as medicine, also enjoy it's effects as a euphorant... And being one of those people myself, and freely admitting that "I like to get high", I have to ask you... why shouldn't we want that? Are you REALLYsaying that sick people should NOT be able to choose a non-toxic medicine that effectively treats or even cures their condition, and is virtually impossible to physically harm one's self with, JUST because it has the "horrible" side effect of giving them a feeling of well being and relaxation? Is there some rule that says medicines cannot cause a feeling of well being and happiness? Or that because a plant product can be used as a safe and effective medicine, it should not also be usable, by those consenting, and of age, as a source of a multitude of other benefits, including, but by no means limited to, recreational intoxication? That argument is so old and tired, that dragging it out shows you to be one who is unwilling to take even an impartial view of cannabis, and unable to rationally compare it's costs and benefits to those who use it for medicine or recreation. Your statement serves as a blanket dismissal of a multitude of factual evidence that cannabis has valuable medicinal properties, and is exceedingly safe in comparison to pharmaceutical products offered for the same ailments we choose to use it for. We who choose to use it that way are tired of both the drug warriors who persecute us, and those who, like you, make assumptions about our motivations purely because we might also use cannabis the way so many use alcohol, as a recreational intoxicant.
