Detectives Seize Drugs, Guns From Residence, 5-year-old Child Taken Into Protective Custody

(SALEM) - Marion County Street Crimes Detectives, assisted by Salem police and Oregon State Police investigators, served a search warrant at 4527 Boulder Dr SE in Salem as part of an ongoing investigation on Wednesday night.

Sheriff`s spokesman Kevin Rau said detectives arrested 30-year-old Manuel Morales-Beiza and 21-year-old Obet Gomez-Beiza.

Investigators seized 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine and 5 ounces of heroin from the home.

The street value of the drugs is approximately $7500.

Also seized were a handgun, a rifle and a small amount of cash Rau said.

The 5-year-old daughter of Morales-Beiza was removed from the home and placed in the custody of the Department of Human Services.

Both men were booked at the Marion County Jail on multiple counts of Possession and Distribution of a Controlled substance.

Morales-Beiza was also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
