Sex Offense Suspect Arrested by Stayton Police in Sublimity

(SUBLIMITY, Ore.) - A man suspected of sexual abuse at a retirement center in Sublimity was been arrested by Stayton Police today, after an investigation that began on September 30th, 2005.

Stayton Police say that at that time, they received a report of a possible sexual offense which is alleged to have occurred at Marian Estates, located at 390 Church Street in Sublimity.

The reported victim was a 70 year old resident. The reported suspect was an employee of Marian Estates.

This incident was investigated by the Stayton Police Department with the assistance of the Oregon Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

Today the suspect, John Alvin Taylor, was arrested at his residence without incident. He is currently being lodged at Marion County Corrections Facility on numerous charges.

People, I know this man. He had a very lovely wife and has many children and grandchildren. I know for a fact, that John would never do these things. I know that a person can change, but John was someone that you could rely on. I quite serious when I say that almost everyone of his grandchildren's first words is "papa!". Today, his grandchildren are almost grown up and feel nothing but positive feelings for this man, if he was a dangerous and sick man, do you think that he would be so highly thought of! You people need to think before you say anything. I'm not saying that every inmate is innocent, but I know from the many years that I've known this man... He isn't and didn't do what he was convicted for!

People relegated to retirement homes are the victims of numerous crimes, including theft of personal articles, pain medications, and outright neglect. They are helpless victims of sick and cruel predators, as are an increasing number of innocent children. Almost makes one ashamed to be in the same genus as these sickos.

If the allegations are true, what a jerk! There are plenty of 70 year old women who willingly would like some action after a basic dinner and a glass of wine. Sick, Sick, Sick! Put a friggin ad in the paper for Christ's sake.
