Volunteers Sought to Help Clean-up Willamette River in Salem

The theme for this year's event is "Down by the Riverside."

(SALEM) - The Willamette River in Salem will get a much needed clean up on Saturday, May 20th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The volunteer event is sponsored by Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism, the City of Salem Parks Operations Department and the Willamette River Sail and Power Squadron.

They are collaborating to create a river and shore clean-up day at Wallace Marine Park.

Volunteers of all ages, individuals, families and organizations are welcome to participate in "Down by the Riverside."

Volunteers with boats are welcome.

If you don`t have a boat please come to help clean the shoreline.
