Albany Credit Union Robbed Friday

(ALBANY) - Albany police are asking for the public`s help in locating and identifying a suspect that robbed the Albany Northwest Community Credit Union located at 707 S.E. Waverly Drive on Friday.

Albany police spokesman Capt. Eric Carter says officers were dispatched to the bank just before 11:30 AM.

The investigation revealed that a lone suspect entered the credit union and displayed a demand note to a teller. The suspect left the credit union on foot with an undisclosed amount of money Carter said.

The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 50`s, between 5`8" and 5`10", 180 to 200 pounds with graying hair and glasses. The suspect was wearing blue denim pants and a blue and gray checkered shirt.

Anyone with information regarding the bank robbery is asked to call the Albany Police Department at (541) 917-7680.
