(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - One person received minor injuries Friday afternoon during one of six traffic crashes that happened nearly simultaneously involving a total of 15 vehicles northbound on Interstate 5 south of Wilsonville. Oregon State Police (OSP) and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office are completing the investigations and two lanes remain closed while tow vehicles are enroute to remove them. On April 15, 2011 at approximately 2:30 p.m. s series of chain reaction crashes involving 14 passenger vehicles and one commercial truck occurred northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 282. One person was transported to an area hospital with minor cuts. Two drivers, including the commercial truck driver, were cited for traffic violations. No names are available for release. The crashes closed the left and center northbound lanes for over two hours. Tow vehicles are enroute to remove the remaining vehicles that were not driveable. OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and ODOT. Traffic updates at www.tripcheck.com.
